Communities of America, Inc. was started in 1998 as a part-time venture by Richard Pitrowski, who had served for five years as volunteer President of the Bloomingdale Special Tax District. In 2002, he left USAA Insurance Company, where he had been employed as an Underwriter and Claims Adjuster for ten years, to work full time on Communities of America. From USAA, a world-renowned service organization, Pitrowski brought a commitment to extraordinary customer service.
Pitrowski and all the employees at Communities of America, Inc. strive for a positive, constructive, supportive relationship with the residents in the communities they manage. All too often in this industry, the only contact a resident has with the management company is either an invoice or a violation letter, but COA looks for every opportunity to benefit the residents and hopes to make a lasting, positive impression on the residents they serve. Communities of America, Inc. is not a large company; in fact, we prefer to think of ourselves as a boutique firm! However, we have been growing consistently since 2002 through selective marketing and word of mouth. Virtually all of our current clients were referred to us from other clients who were happy with the services we provide. We anticipate continuing to grow at a steady pace so we can continue to offer the quality service we provide our current clients.
Communities of America’s mission is to help communities reach new heights by bringing a fresh approach and innovative programs and encouraging new ideas through communication. We work with the Board to promote harmony through effective planning and processes. We believe a community’s property values and the homeowners’ pride in their community are directly related to the quality of the community’s management company.
